Basic Travel Requirements for Laotians visiting Cyprus

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Cypriot Visa.


  • A duly completed and signed visa application form. 
  • An original passport valid for at least 3 months after the intended date of exit from Latvia. 
  • Copies of your previous passports (if any). 
  • Two passport-sized photos of size 35mm x 45mm.
  • A travel insurance confirmation of a minimum of 30,000 euros coverage within Latvia and the entire Schengen zone.
  • A cover letter stating the purpose of your travel to Latvia.
  • A flight itinerary with your entry and exit dates and flight number.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations valid for the duration of stay in Latvia.
  • Applicants who intend to stay with a host must submit a document showing the residential address and contact details of the host.
  • A certificate of good health showing that the applicant is free from any contagious disease.
  • Proof of civil status and ties with the origin country such as a birth or marriage certificate.
  • Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Latvia.
  • A bank statement for the last 3 months before the application period.
  • A return-ticket to Laos.
