Basic Travel Requirements for Laotians visiting Germany

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a German Visa.


  • A completed visa application form.
  • A passport with 6 months validity before the due date with blank visa pages. 
  • Two recently taken colour passport photos of 32- 36mm in height, taken against a gray background is required. 
  • Proof of accommodation in Germany is to be sent together with the necessary travel documents to the embassy. 
  • Applicants planning to stay with friends or relatives are expected to submit a copy of their passport and proof that they can support their stay. 
  • Proof of return ticket. 
  • Travel itinerary. 
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months to show proof of sufficient funds to cover stay period. 
  • A document showing your purpose of visit to Germany. 
  • Minors traveling alone are expected to show a consent letter written and signed by both parents. 
  • Minors traveling with one parent are expected to show a consent letter by the other parent giving approval to the trip.
