Basic Travel Requirements for Laotians visiting Hungary
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Hungarian Visa.
- A completed and signed Hungary visa application form.
- A passport valid for at least three months after your return date from the country and must have at least two blank pages.
- Two recently taken passport photographs taken against a light background.
- A copy of your return ticket reservation.
- Travel medical insurance up to 30,000 € to cover your stay in Hungary and other Schengen area you intend to visit.
- A cover letter stating your purpose of visit and duration of stay in Hungary.
- Flight itinerary reservation. This should contain the entry and exit dates and your flight number.
- Proof of accommodation or hotel reservation for your entire duration of stay in the country.
- Children birth certificates, marriage certificate or spouse death certificate to show proof of civil status.
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover the entire duration of stay in the country.
- Employed applicants are required to show a bank statement of the last six months, certificate of income tax returns, employment contracts and No-objection certificate from your employer.
- Self-employed applicants are required to submit a copy of their business license, their company's bank statement of the latest six months and income tax returns.
- If you are retired, a copy of your pension statement of the latest six months is required.

- The Hungarian business visa is a visa issued to foreigners visiting Hungary to sign business deals, for conferences and for business meetings.
- Laotians visiting Hungary on a business visa can attend seminars, trade fairs, conferences and business exhibitions.
- A passport not more than 10 years with a validity period of six months and two blank pages for visa stamps is required.
- A passport-sized photograph not more than three months, 35mmx45mm in size and taken against a light coloured background.

- A letter of invitation from the Hungarian company. the letter should contain the purpose of your visit to the country and must be written in the Hungarian language.

- Laotians who do not get proper treatment in their home country and wish to get a good medical treatment in Hungary can apply for the Hungary medical visa.
- Applicant's of this visa must have a passport valid for their entire duration of stay in the country, the passport must also have at least two blank visa pages for entry and exit stamps.
- A local medical report is required.
- A certificate showing the nature of your sickness and the duration of your medical treatment must be submitted.
