Basic Travel Requirements for Laotians visiting Italy

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Italian Visa.


  • A complete and signed Italian visa application form.
  • A passport not older than 10 years with a validity period of three months and two blank pages. 
  • Two recently taken coloured passport photos not older than three months. 
  • Proof of accommodation in Italy is to be sent together with the necessary travel documents to the embassy. 
  • Applicants planning to stay with friends or relatives are expected to submit a copy of their passport and proof that they can support their stay. 
  • Proof of return ticket. 
  • Travel itinerary. 
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months to show proof of sufficient funds to cover stay period. 
  • A cover letter showing your purpose of visit to Italy. 
  • Minors traveling alone are expected to show a consent letter written and signed by both parents. 
  • Minors traveling with one parent are expected to show a consent letter by the other parent giving approval to the trip.  
  • Proof of civil status (birth certificate or death certificate). 
  • A checklist of documents submitted. 
  • Copies of your previous visas if any.
