Basic Travel Requirements for Laotians visiting South Korea

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a South Korean Visa.


  • A complete South Korea visa application form. 
  • Recently taken passport photos not older than six months. 
  • A passport with six months validity remaining and at least two blank visa pages for visa stamps. 
  • Flight reservations and return ticket. 
  • A hotel reservation receipt to show proof of accommodation while in South Korea. 
  • A cover letter showing your details and the details of the people traveling with. 
  • Employed applicants are expected to show a letter from their employer stating that a leave of absence has been granted and that you will return to your current job after your trip.
  • The letter should contain the purpose and duration of your trip. 
  • Self-employed applicants are to show a copy of their business license, company bank statement of the last six months and income tax revenue. 
  • As a retired applicant you are required to submit proof of your retirement funds.
