Basic Travel Requirements for Lesothos visiting Canada

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Canadian Visa.

  • Completed and signed Canadian visa application form.
  • An original and copy of the applicant’s Lesotho passport that is valid for at least six months beyond your date of return to Lesotho.
  • The passport should have at least two blank pages for the visa stamp.
  • Two colored photographs size must be at least 35 mm x 45 mm. The face must be square to the camera with a neutral expression, neither frowning nor smiling, with the mouth closed.
  • The photographs must be identical and taken within the last six months. They may be either black and white or color.
  • The photographs must be clear, well defined and taken against a plain white or light-colored background.
  • Proof of application processing fee.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of the trip (i.e. three months bank statements, payslips, proof of investments, etc.).
  • If you are not paying for the trip you will need a letter from the person or institution sponsoring your trip and additional documents (i.e. a copy of their passport and a bank statement proving they have sufficient funds).
  • Proof of ties to Lesotho (i.e. employment letter, or proof of businesses or assets.).
  • Copy of provisional flight booking and travel itinerary (i.e. accommodation reservations).
  • You may need to provide a medical history or proof of good health.
  • Minors (under 18) travelling alone will need a letter of authorization signed by both parents or legal guardians. 
  • For minors travelling with one parent, a letter of authorization from the non-accompanying parent or legal guardian is required.

Canada Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Canada tourist visa allows foreigners to go to Canada for purposes such as tourism or holidays in Canada and visiting friends or family.
  • Canada tourist visa application form that is completely filled and signed.
