Entry Requirements

  • Liberia passport holders can visit India by applying for an electronic visa(e-visa). The e-visa is for a duration of 90 days and costs about US$80.
  • Foreigners can gain entry to India through 28 airports and 5 seaports with the e-visa.
  • Citizens of Liberia are advised to have applied for the e-visa, at least four days before departure. 
  • Intending visitors are to show a valid passport of a minimum of 6 months beyond the date of India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
  • Tourists are advised to get treated against yellow fever and other common illnesses before travelling to India.
  • Liberians with firearms require an Import Permit from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in India.
  • The import and export of foreign currencies are unlimited, however, amounts exceeding $ 5,000 or its equivalent would be declared.
  • Also, the importation and exportation of the local currency of India are set at a maximum of INR 25,000.
  • Travellers will be required to show proof of a confirmed means of accommodation for their entire stay in India. This could be in the form of a sponsor letter from a host living in the country or a hotel reservation.
  • Visitors from Liberia will also be asked to show a recent bank statement has as evidence of having enough money to spend while in India.
  • Minors visiting alone are required to have a consent letter signed by both parents or guardian.
  • Nationals of Liberia visiting India with pets (dogs and cats) must be accompanied by a veterinarian health certificate issued in Liberia.
  • Intending visitors can get to India from any international airport in Liberia. There are international airports in Greenville and Harbel.
