Spain Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A Spanish tourist visa is a short stay visa issued to visitors who intend to visit Spain for the purpose of sightseeing, recreational activities, tourism, and visiting friends and families.
  • Applicants applying for a tourist visa can also get medical treatment in Spain.
  • A letter of invitation from your host in Spain stating the purpose of your travel, contact details and full addresses of your host.

  • A Certificate of No Criminal Conviction from any country that the applicant has lived in the last 5 years should be provided.
  • A medical certificate issued by your doctor stating that you do not suffer from any of the diseases which need quarantine under the International Health Regulation (2005) is needed.
  • Applicants of this visa should ensure they provide the certificates and transcripts of the previous schools they attended.
  • Foreigners studying in Spain can work part-time when school is in session and part-time when school is on break.
  • Minors applying for this visa should ensure they are in possession of the original copy of their birth certificate.
  • You also need to obtain a Spanish student residence permit if you intend to study in Spain for more than 6 months. This permit should be obtained within 30 days of entering Spain from a police station or your local Foreign Office.
  • You will need to apply for a student resident permit that covers the duration of your course in the country.

  • A copy of the employment contract signed by both the employer and the employee should be provided.
  • You are expected to submit a copy of your Curriculum Vitae or Resume during the visa application process.
  • After you have secured a job, your employer must request a work permit on your behalf which will permit you to work legally in Spain.
  • Non-Liberians applying for this visa are required to present a copy of their Liberian residence permit.
  • Proof that there was no Spaniard willing and qualified to take up the job you were offered is required.
  • All the documents to be submitted should be provided in original and copy.
  • Applicants who submit forged or fake documents will be prosecuted.
  • The original copy of a medical certificate issued by a medical institution and signed by a doctor verifying that you are free from any contagious diseases or drug addictions is important.
  • Once you have been cleared to work in Spain, you will be issued a work permit.

  • This visa is issued to foreign nationals who have the intention of engaging in business activities during their time in the country.
  • With this visa, you can attend business events in Spain.
  • Proof of previous business dealings between the companies involved should be provided if any.
  • You are not permitted to receive payment for the services you render during your time in the country.
  • To obtain a Spanish business visa, an original copy of an invitation letter from a Spanish company, addressed to the Consulate General of Spain in Liberia, written in Spanish is needed.
