United Arab Emirates visa requirements for Liberians

The UAE study visa is issued to Liberians travelling to UAE for study purposes.

Applicants should ensure that they have been offered admission into an institution of learning before initiating the application process.

Applicants are to submit a copy of their admission letter the embassy.

Applicants transcripts and certificates from previously attended institutions should be submitted.

In 2008, the UAE government passed a decree that issues a 5-year student visa to individuals who graduate with at least 95% from their secondary schools or with a CGPA of 3.75 from a university within or outside the country.

Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicant's duration of stay.

Proof of Part or full payment of tuition fee should be submitted.

Proof of medical fitness and yellow fever should be submitted.

Proof that the applicant is free from all communicable diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis should be submitted.

Proof of incentive of returning to Liberia at the end of the study program should be submitted.

Students visa can be secured by either a relative residing in the UAE, a recognized institution or visa authorities represented in each emirate of UAE

Expatriates are not allowed to continue sponsoring male children above 18 years of age however female children can continue to be sponsored regardless of their ages.

Liberians with the intention of transiting through the UAE to their destination are the recipients of this visa.

Applicants passport with a validity of 6 months from the proposed date  of travel should be submitted.

Visas and entry stamps of destination country should be provided.

This visa can not replace a tourist visa neither can it be used to work or study.

This visa must be used within 14 days  of its issuance.

The transit visa can only be issued by the UAE airline you are traveling through.

The UAE transit visa has a validity of 24 hours.

The UAE transit visa cost 40 dollars.

Application for this visa should be made before leaving Liberia.

Applicants are advised not to overstay their visa.

Liberians visiting UAE for recreation and tourism purposes are the recipients of this visa.

The tourist visa can be issued either as a single, double or multiple entry visa.

The single entry is valid for 30 days and the multiple entry is 90 days.

Extension of this visa is possible if the application is made on time.

Visa can be extended twice for additional periods of 30 days each time. However, the second renewal has to be done before the first renewal expires.

Females below 18 years of age are not allowed to apply for this visa unless they are travelling with their parents.

Applicants should be in possession of a valid passport which should be expiring within six months from the intended date of travel.

Applicants should submit a proof of financial sufficiency that covers their duration of stay.

Hotel reservations or proof of accommodation should be submitted.

United Arab Emirates tourist visa has both single and multiple entry types.

Since July 2018, minors (children below 18 years) who are travelling with adults can get a free visa from the 15th of July till the 15th of September every year.

UAE embassies do not issue this visa so applicants can contact the emirates airline, tour agency or hotel they intend to use for the trip to apply on their behalf.
