Application requirements
Documents Libyan applicants need to provide.
- A proof of travel insurance worth 3,000 euros
- A flight itinerary with up-to-date flight exit and entry dates.
- A cover letter stating the purpose of your visit.
- A proof of accommodation throughout the duration of stay.
- A proof of civil status.
- Bank statements showing applicant's financial ability.
- A receipt of visa application fee.
- A valid passport for at least for six months.
- Two identical photographs (35mmx45mm).

Visa type details
Tourist visa
- Tourist visa is meant for tourism purposes and Libyans are eligible to apply.
- You are not allowed to engage in any professional activities.
- A proof of financial sufficiency is needed such as traveler cheques, international bank cards.
- A medical travel insurance covering you during the duration of your stay.
- You are required to submit two copies of the completed French Tourist Visa Application Form having your personal information
- An international passport issued within the last 10 years and valid for a minimum of 3 months after your intended stay in France is to be provided. The passport must have at least two blank pages in order to be able to put the visa sticker on it.
- Copies of previous visas should be submitted at Embassy.
- A police report that shows you have no criminal record.
- A travel Itinerary that shows what you will be doing in France and flight arrival and departure dates.
- A proof of accommodation in France, either from a hotel or with a host.

- An invitation letter from the company you will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied with the duration and purpose of your visit is required.
- A letter from your employer in Libya stating awareness and allowance of your business travel for the duration of your time in the country.
- If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided
- Applicants are to provide bank statements from the last 6 months during the visa processing.
- If the applicants will be financially supported during their trip, a sponsorship letter is required. In order for this
- Letter to be valid, it must be accompanied by a bank statement of the sponsor, no older than three months.
- The applicant’s expenses during their stay in the Schengen zone, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.
- You are required to provide the original copies of all documents with clear double-sided photocopies at the embassy. You should NOT staple the documents together.
- Self-employed citizens must submit proof of business certification such as the business license and the company's certified bank account statements for the last three months.
