Italy Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- For the purpose of sightseeing, relaxation, and recreation Libyans need an Italian tourist visa.
- You can also attend events and festivals asides recreation activities.
- Anyone whose friends and relatives residing in Italy can visit them with this type of visa.
- An invitation letter from their host should have their home address and telephone number used in the country.
- You are expected to submit a passport with a validity of 6 months from the date of departure.
- Libyans cannot study in any higher institutions of learning with this visa.
- Libyans who have a job are to provide a letter from their employer showing he/she is aware of their leave.
- An insurance coverage of 3,000 Euros is needed.
- Hotel reservations, or proof of accommodation which states whether you are staying with a host or not.
- A proof of your financial sufficiency, not more than six months should also be submitted.
- A sponsorship letter is to be written and presented at the Embassy which is known as an Affidavit of Support.
- A copy of the applicant's travel itinerary with up-to-date with flight departure and return dates is to be presented.
- A proof of their relationship with the host residing in Italy.
- You are required to present a copy of your stay permit if you are non-Libyan.
- The original copy of minors’ birth certificate is required.
- A document that shows that you have the intention of returning back home is required.
- Travelers are expected to show all forms of valid identification at all times.
- Buying from illegal traders in the streets of Venice or Rome is an offence. Offenders can be fined.
- Visitors are banned from using disposable plastic objects such as bags, cups, and food packagings.
- A small tax is imposed on tourists which is being levied on them by hotels and is usually not included in the pre-travel arrangements.
- Euros is the acceptable currency used in Italy.
Italy Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa type is meant for who have been accepted to study in a school in Italy.
- The Italian student visa has two types depending on your study program.
- The short-stay visa or travel visa is valid for one or more entries.
- The short-stay visa is for a period not exceeding 90 days.
- While the long-stay visa is for a long-stay in Italy for students for more than 90 days.
- Your letter of admission from the institution you have been offered admission is required. The letter will prove that you can attend lectures and write exams at school.
- Certificates and transcripts of the schools you have previously attended is to be submitted
- A valid passport with at least two blank pages is required.
- Non-citizens are to provide their residence permit.
- Libyan students can work part-time when school is in session and full-time when they are on break.
- This visa can be extended to the duration of study in Italy.
- Minors travelling without their parents need to provide a letter of consent signed both parents.
- You are not allowed to seek public funds while you are in Italy.
- The visa costs €60.
- Student visas are to be issued by an Italian embassy and consulate in your home country or permanent residence.
- Students must register with Questura(police station), to obtain a residence permit before the intended date of entry.
- A police report showing you have no criminal record.
Italy Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The visa is for Libyans seeking employment in Italy.
- An employment contract signed by both the employer and the employee should be provided.
- A copy of your Curriculum Vitae or resume detailing you are a good fit for the job.
- Original and photocopy of the work permit issued by the Italian Immigration Office.
- Non-Italian citizens applying for this visa are required to present a copy of their residence permit.
- The employer has to provide a document to show no Italian was willing and qualified to take up the job you were offered.
- Original copies of all the documents are necessary.
- Applicants who submit forged or fake documents will be prosecuted.
- A request which authorizes the employer to hire a foreign worker living abroad from the ISD is needed.
- Each applicant's employer is expected to submit a so-called “Stay contract” (“Contratto di soggior- no”) in which she/he commits him/herself to guarantee adequate lodging for the requested worker and to fund travel costs for his/her repatriation in case of expulsion before the expiration of the contract.
- Once all the checks have been made by both Labour Authority (“Direzione Territoriale del Lavoro”) and local State Police offices (“Questura”), the authorization (“nulla osta”), may be delivered to the applicant's employer.
- The residence permit is issued at the new arrival’s local police station.
