Basic Travel Requirements for Libyans visiting Spain
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Spanish Visa.
- A fully completed and signed visa application form.
- Two recent passport photos not more than three months.
- A valid passport which is not older than 10 years and valid for at least three more months beyond the date you intend to leave Spain.
- An onward or round trip reservation or itinerary including flight dates and numbers specifying entry and exit from Spain.
- A travel insurance policy that proves you have travel health insurance for the whole Schengen territory, with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros in case of any medical emergency as illnesses, accidents and even repatriation in case of death.
- A proof of accommodation whether with a host or at a hotel.
- Bank account statements to prove your financial capability shouldn't older than 3 months.
- Sponsorship Letter must be accompanied by a bank statement of the sponsor, no older than three months.
- A proof of paid visa fee. €60 for adults and €35 for children from 6 to 12 years old.

Spain Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Libyans who intend to engage in a business while in Spain have to obtain a business visa.
- A passport is valid for at least six months is needed during the visa application.
- Employment certificate detailing your employment status in your home country is required.
- Recent passport photos not more than six months is expected to be submitted by the applicant.
- A travel insurance with a minimum of 3,000 coverage for the duration of stay is needed.
- The invitation letter from your Spanish partner should written in Spanish.
- Travelers should be financially comfortable to spend at least 65 euros per day before they are granted this type of visa.
- A proof of previous trade relations between the business traveler and the Spanish partner is to be presented at the embassy.
- Employed Libyans are to provide their employment contract from their companies which states their position and annual salary.
- A copy of income of tax statements or company's account statements which are not more than six months are required from private business owners.
- Applicants who have refused visas can request for a judicial review before the court in Madrid.
- Actions delaying normal custom procedures by travelers have penalties.
- Fines range 30 to 60 euros.
- You are also required to secure hotel accommodation in Spain for the entire duration of your stay in the country and provide proof of this.
Spain Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreign workers can to work illegally in Spain with a work visa.
- Your employer must obtain a work permit on your behalf that will allow you to work legally in Spain.
- The permit will only be granted if the job is listed as a Shortage Occupation or if the vacancy has been advertised and there are no suitable candidates from Spain or the EU to take the job.
- You can begin your work visa application once your work permit have been granted.
- Under the Spanish immigration law dictates that employers must submit the application on your behalf.
- However, you need to provide your employer with all the relevant documents needed to apply on your behalf.
- The following documents are needed to process your work visa:
- Your original passport with a minimum of six months validity.
- A duly completed and signed visa application form.
- Two recent passport photographs taken with a white background are required.
- A police report showing no criminal record obtained within the latest 90 days.
- Original copy of a medical certificate issued by a medical institution and signed by a doctor verifying that you are free from any contagious diseases, and that you are free of any drug addictions and mental illnesses.
- It takes up to eight months for your work permit to be processed so you are advised to start your application well in time.
- A work permit is valid for one year but it can be renewed as long as you still fulfill the requirements under which it was first issued
