Basic Travel Requirements for Libyans visiting Switzerland

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Swiss Visa.


  • An international  passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
  • A duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • Minors are to have their forms signed by their parents/legal guardians.
  • Passport-size photographs (3.5 x 4.5cm) in white background.
  • Travel document which will  include a valid identification 
  • A  proof of financial capability to prove their they are able to afford staying in Switzerland. 
  • A proof of accommodation whether with a host or at a hotel. 
  • A copy of return flight ticket to show your intention of returning back home.
  • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country, e.g. verification from applicant’s employer.
  • Travel insurance with a coverage of €30,000 for medical insurance to cover entire duration of stay.
  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
  • A copy of travel itinerary with up-to-date exit and entry dates.
