Basic Travel Requirements for Malagasys visiting Chile

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Chilean Visa.


  • A fully completed Chile Visa application form.

  • Travellers are expected to apply for a visa from a Chilean Diplomatic Mission.  

  • A Malagasy passport valid for six months. 

  • An official letter written by the employer of the applicant. 

  • Two identical photograph passports (45mmx45mm).

  • A police clearance certificate.

  • A proof of a Chile’s arrival and return ticket.

  • A letter of invitation from the host company or sponsor. 

  • A proof of hotel reservation. 

  • A proof of financial status. 

  • Chile does not have an embassy in Madagascar, Malagasy can apply through the Chilean embassy in Ethiopia.
