  • The government of Hong Kong permits citizens of Malawi to visit their country without a visa for a duration of 90 days.
  • Prospective tourists travelling to Hong Kong are required to have a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of their arrival in Hong Kong. The passport should have at least two blank pages.
  • Malawi passport holders are also required to provide evidence that they have enough funds to cover their expenses while in Hong Kong. A valid onward or return ticket back to Malawi is needed as well.
  • Visitors to Hong Kong must provide evidence of a confirmed means of accommodation for their entire stay in Hong Kong. This could be in the form of a hotel reservation or a sponsor letter from a host living in Hong Kong.
