Application requirements

Visa type details

Tourist visa

  • Malaysians traveling to Nauru for tourism and visitation purposes.
  • This visa is valid for 30 days.
  • Vaccination certificate for yellow fever is required.
  • Applicants should also be up to date on the following vaccinations: typhoid, tuberculosis, diarrhea.
  • Currency restriction for entry into Nauru is unlimited if declared on arrival into Nauru.
  • Currency restriction for exit out of Nauru is up to AUD $2,500. Permit is required for amounts exceeding AUD $2,500.
  • A valid passport with a minimum of three months validity must be provided by the applicant.
  • An onward and return ticket is required. This shows that the applicant has the incentive of returning to Malaysia after the visa expires.
  • Proof of hotel bookings must be provided or sponsorship from a resident of Nauru if you are traveling for visitation purposes.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer stating awareness and allowance of applicant’s leave. The job position of the applicant should be stated in the letter, as well as, the contact details of the company.
  • The Australian dollar is the legal currency in Nauru. You should be prepared to pay cash for hotel bills and all other services. Credit card services are not allowed.
  • If you are under the age of 18, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided. If the minor is traveling with one or none of his/her parent, a notarized letter of consent signed by both parents of the applicant is required.

  • Foreigners can negotiate and sign business contracts with their business partners in the country with this visa.
  • Applicants who have the intention of attending conferences should pre-register for the conference before visiting the country.
  • A letter from your employer in Singapore stating your job position and the terms of the applicant’s employment contract is required. The duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit should be stated in the letter.
  • An official letter of invitation written on the company’s letterhead stating the duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit should be provided. The letter should be signed by an authorized signatory in the company.
  • A certificate of business registration of the company you are meeting with in Nauru must be provided.
  • If the responsibility of the applicant’s finances will be taken up by the host company or the applicant’s employer, it should be stated in the business letter.
  • A copy of inviting company’s tax record is required.
  • Proof of the incentive of returning to your country at the expiry of your visa should be submitted.
