Application requirements

Documents Malaysian applicants need to provide.

  • A Malaysia passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
  • Duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
  • Passport-size photographs (35 mm x 45 mm) taken in white background.
  • Proof of financial support in form of a bank statement.
  • Proof of accommodation in form of a hotel reservation.
  • Copy of return flight ticket to show that you will leave the country once your visa expires.
  • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country, e.g. verification from applicant’s employer.
  • A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.
  • Medical Insurance to cover duration of entire stay.
  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
  • Copy of travel itinerary.

Visa type details

Tourist visa

  • The Serbian tourist visa is issued to Malaysians traveling to Serbia for tourism and visitation purposes.
  • This visa is valid for 90 days in a period of 180 days.
  • Visitors traveling for private visit are required to provide invitation letters certified by the relevant authority of the Republic of Serbia.
  • Visitors traveling for tourist trip are required to provide proof of payment for the trip issued by a travel agency in form of voucher or other type of payment receipt.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for staying in Serbia is required.
  • Sufficient funds are considered to be 50 euros per day of stay, proved by possession of the appropriate amount of cash, bank statement, traveler's cheques, credit cards or a letter of guarantee.
  • Certificate of vaccination is required from the applicant. This is to show that they are in good health.
  • Under-aged children traveling with one of their parents should submit a relevant certified authorization by the other parent; or if the child is traveling with a third person such authorization is required from both parents or guardian.
  • Applicants are required to have a health insurance for the period of stay in Serbia, covering possible medical costs to the amount of not less than 20,000 euros.
  • Return ticket or Itinerary must be provided.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for staying in Serbia must be provided. This can come in form of a recent bank statement.

Business visa

  • Malaysians traveling to Serbia for business purposes should apply for a Serbian business visa.
  • This visa is valid for 90 days.
  • Proof of income tax returns must be provided. The proof of income tax returns must match the provided parameters.
  • A travel health insurance is required. The travel insurance issued has to meet the following criteria:
    • It must be valid for at least 3 to 10 ahead of the date of arrival to Serbia.
    • It must cover the whole trip.
    • It must mention the applicant's details as per the passport.
  • Applicants are required to provide a cover letter. The cover letter provided by the applicant must have the following:
    • Details of the traveler's stay in the country.
    • Traveler's as well as the company's information.
    • Issued on the company's letterhead along with official seal and signature.
  • Applicants are required to provide recent bank statement. The bank statement must have the following:
    • It must be evident of healthy balance amount in the account.
    • Saving bank account for last 6 months.
    • It must be provided with authentic seal and signature from the bank.
    • It must be original and should have the bank's stamp and signature on every page.
  • An invitation from the inviting company in Serbia is required. The letter must contain the following:
    • The signature of the authority along with the designation, name of the company and the stamp.
    • The contact details, the purpose of travel, sponsorship details and other important documents.
    • It must be addressed to the respective diplomatic mission.
