Basic Travel Requirements for Malians visiting Norway
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Norwegian Visa.
- Duly filled and signed visa application form.
- An original passport that will remain valid for at least 3 months after the end of your visit. The passport must have not been issued for more than ten years and it should have two blank pages for stamps.
- 2 passport size photographs that are not older than 6 months and meet the visa application requirements.
- You must have valid medical insurance with a minimum cover of €30,000.
- You must have enough money to cater for your stay in Norway and return to Mali. You will be required to prove that you can spend NOK 500 daily for the entire stay in Norway.
- For minors, the form will have to be filled by their parents accompanied by the minor's birth certificate and a signed letter of consent from the parents.
- Applicants are to show proof of flight reservations for Norway as well as a return ticket to prove that they intend to leave at the expiry of their visa.
- It is necessary to show proof of home ties to Mali. This could be a job, family members depending on you or a spouse in Mali.
- Proof of accommodation.
- Letter of invitation from inviting companies or host.

- With the visitor visa, Malians can travel to Norway for a host of reasons including tourism, sightseeing, vacation, and business-related activities.
- You can visit friends or relatives residing in Norway, attend meetings, trade fairs, and conferences with the visitor visa.
- If you are visiting a friend or relative in Norway, you must have a letter of invitation from your host. The invitation letter must contain details of the trip as well as the full contact details of the host.
- If staying in a hotel, you must show proof of reserved accommodation for the duration of your stay in Norway.
- To show that you can spend at least NOK 500 daily and have money to leave Norway, you are to present your most recent bank account statements or a letter of financial guarantee from a host in Norway.

- You must have been offered admission into a learning institution in Norway before you apply for this visa.
