Basic Travel Requirements for Mauritanians visiting Croatia

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Croatian Visa.


  • Visa application form filled and signed by the applicant. Applicants can also fill out the application form online.
  • Passport has an expiry date that exceeds the expiry date of the requested visa by at least three months. The passport must have been issued within the last 10 years and have a minimum of two blank pages.
  • Copy of all previously used visas either valid or expired should be made available.
  • One 35x45mm passport-sized photograph printed on a normal photographic paper. The passport must be in color and must be taken against a light background.
  • Valid travel health insurance which remains valid for the duration of the applicant’s stay in Croatia. The passport must have a minimum coverage of €30,000 for health reasons, urgent medical assistance, and repatriation.
  • Documents which prove that the applicant has sufficient funds to support his/her stay in Croatia and to return to his/her country of residence. It is estimated at €70 per day.
  • Documents that support the applicant’s means of subsistence may include bank account statements and payslips from the past three months before applying for the visa.
  • Hotel accommodation, private or other accommodation for the duration of your stay in Croatia.
