Basic Travel Requirements for Mauritanians visiting Czech Republic
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Czech Visa.
- A Mauritanian international passport with a validity of more than 6 months. This international passport should have at least two blank pages for the necessary stamp.
- A fully filled visa application form is dated and has been signed by the applicant.
- One recent passport-sized photographs with a white background.
- Original copy of bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application.
- Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage.
- Evidence of civil status.
- Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.
- Copy of return flight ticket.

Czech Republic Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Applicants of this visa are foreign nationals who have the intention of staying and receiving medical treatment in the Czech Republic.
- Non-Mauritanians should ensure they are in possession of a copy of their Mauritanian residence permit.
- Minors travelling alone or with one of their parents are required to be in possession of a letter of consent signed by both their parents, as well as a copy of their birth certificate.
- A certificate from the applicant’s physician or medical institution in Mauritania confirming the need for the specific treatment to be provided in the Czech Republic should be provided.
- An official letter from the receiving medical institution in the Czech Republic confirming that it can perform the medical treatment needed by the applicant is required.
- You are required to provide proof of pre-payment of the medical fee and proof of sufficient means to cover all other related expenses.
- Any other correspondence between the sending and receiving medical institutions should be provided.
- You are expected to leave the country as soon as this visa expires.
- Passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have at least two blank pages for the necessary stamp.
- Any family member who is going to be travelling with the patient seeking treatment in the Czech Republic must apply for his/her own visa separately. He/she cannot use the patient's visa.
- One recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application. The photo should be glued and not staple to the visa application form.
- Original copy of bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application.
- Payslips from the previous three months can also be presented.
- Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
Czech Republic Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to Mauritanian nationals who have the intention of studying at a university or higher education school in the Czech Republic for more than three months.
- Foreigners who intend to study at a high school or conservatory in an exchange program, language course, and internships are eligible to apply for this visa.
- Minors applying for this visa should ensure they are in possession of a letter of consent signed by both their parents. This document has to be in the Czech language or it should be in English language and must be accompanied by the official translation to the Czech language.
- The original letter of admission issued by the institution you have been accepted into should be provided, copies are not accepted. This document should be in the Czech language and must have been issued within the last 180 days.
- Proof that the applicant has sufficient funds to pay their tuition fee and any other extra fee that may arise while in the country is required.
- Applicants are required to provide a medical report from a medical institution in their home country stating that the applicant does not suffer syphilis, tuberculosis, and any other contagious disease. This document must be translated into the Czech language and must be issued within the last 6 months.
- An original criminal record certificate gotten from Mauritania is required.
- Applicants of this visa type are required to provide the original copy of certificates gotten from schools that they previously.
- A document proving that payment of the tuition fee has been made is required.
- Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country. Students can have their accommodation verified by their institution, by sending a confirmation of the accommodation directly to the Embassy.
