Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Indian Visa.
- An original Mauritanian international passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date the visa applicant intends leaving the country. The passport must have two clear pages.
- Visa application form duly filled and signed by the visa applicant.

India Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Tourist Visa is valid for foreigners visiting for the purposes of sightseeing, tourism, and visitation.
- This tourist visa validity is six months.
- People visiting on a tourist visa must not have to have to apply for residence or occupation when on the Indian tourist visa.
- Your India tourist visa validity duration begins on the first day you must have been issued the visa.
- You can not go for medical treatment or apply for employment with this visa, if you are in need of either of the aforementioned activity, you are to apply for Medical or Employment visa for the respective activities.
- The maximum duration of stay in India is limited to 180 days on each visit.

- The online visa application form must be filled and printed. If this document is not presented at the Embassy, your visa application may be rejected.
- Foreign nationals in India can make trips to visit any of their friends or relatives who hold permanent residency in the country.
- You are prohibited from engaging in activities that are not stated on the visa. Therefore, enrolling to study and taking up paid or unpaid employment is prohibited.
- Try as much as possible to not exceed the allocated number of days this visa allows. You will be subjected to filing a large amount of paperwork and paying huge fines before leaving the country if you do.
- If you are under the age of 18 years, you will need to fill your visa application form separately. If you are travelling without adult supervision, you are required to provide a letter of consent signed by both your parents.
India Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to foreign nationals making business-related visits to India. This is also the right visa type to apply for if you want to attend a conference in the country.
- This visa might be valid for one year or more with multiple entries.
- Stay in India with this visa is limited to 180days in any single calendar year except the person has a residential permit.
- The multiple-entry Business visa valid for ten years could be granted to foreign businessmen who have joint ventures or thinking up setting up venture in India.
- An invitation letter from a supplier or partner in India which includes the name and details of the visa applicant. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and must be in the format of an invitation letter.
- Applicants who are business owners should ensure they submit a copy of the company’s commercial register which was legalized as recently as 3 months back.
- If you are employed by a company in Mauritania, you are required to present a work certificate, as well as salary payslips from the previous three months.
- Algerians who have the intention of attending conferences or seminars in India should ensure they are in possession of a copy of the invitation they received for the conference or seminar. Algerians must receive permission to attend the seminar or conference from the Indian Ministries of Interior and Exterior.
- On the invitation letter, the name and details of the visa applicant’s passport should be clearly stated.
- Foreigners who will not be supported by the organizers of the conference they will be attending in India should provide a copy of their confirmed hotel reservation.
India Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Indian medical is issued to Mauritanian nationals who wish to seek medical treatment in a reputable or specialized medical centre in India.
- The initial duration of this Medical Visa is up to a year or the period of treatment, whichever is less.
- This visa valid up to twelve(12) months for a single or multiple entry.
- This Visa might be valid for a maximum of 3 entries during the one year, and its duration starts right from the date of issue and not on the day of entry into India.
- To be eligible for this medical visa, the government of India has to approve the medical centre or hospital you wish to seek medical treatment from.
- One or two blood relatives only are allowed to accompany the patient seeking medical treatment in India and their Visas must be different from that of the patients.
- These two blood relatives have to apply for a Medical Attended Visa (MED X), which has the same validity as that of the patient’s.
- Applicant(patient) must have recommendations or references for specialized treatment on the basis of Preliminary medical checkup and treatment from the Medical experts of origin/residence country and this can be obtained from the hospital that the applicant(patient) got treated in origin/residence country. Official documents of recommendation from the Doctors there has to be obtained.
- The treatment must be of necessity in nature, not all ailments qualify for a Medical Visa in India.
- Not more than two attendants shall be issued a Visa and they both must be blood relatives of the applicant(patient).
- Patient holding a valid passport from their country and who has a medical condition clinically reported and acknowledged by a reputed Medical institution can apply for a Medical visa in India.
- These are the list of medical conditions eligible for medical treatments in India, and these medical conditions must be significant or necessary before applying for the Indian Medical visa.
- The list is: Neurosurgery, Heart surgery, Organ transplant, Joint replacement, Gene therapy, Plastic surgery, Renal problems Congenital disorders, Radio-Therapy and Patients seeking Ayurveda treatment.
