Basic Travel Requirements for Mauritanians visiting Thailand

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Thai Visa.

  • A Mauritanian international Passport or travel document which has a validity of a minimum of 6 months from the planned date of departure from Thailand. The passport must have two blank pages.

Thailand Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa allows foreign nationals to be gainfully employed by a company in Thailand.
  • The visa allows you to work legally in Thailand without having to worry of being deported or blacklisted.
  • The Business license of the inviting company in Thailand issued by the Ministry of Commerce should be provided. The business license must carry the company’s stamp and must be signed by an authorized signatory of the company.
  • This visa being a long stay in nature, its duration is more than 90 days. Therefore, applicants are required to apply for a work and residence permit when applying for this visa.
  • The visa is issued as single and multiple entries.
  • The visa single entry fee is 2000 Baht with 3 months validity while multiple entries is 5000 Baht with a one-year validity.
  • A copy of the company’s profile or details of business operations should be provided.
  • Letter confirming from the employer in Thailand confirming the employment details of the visa applicant must be provided.
  • The letter from the employer must be signed by an authorized person in the company and must be accompanied by a copy of the ID card or passport of the person that signs it.
  • An approval letter known as WP3 from the Ministry of Labor of Thailand should be provided.
  • If the visa applicant is already working in a Thai company and needs to renew the Work Visa, a work permit is requested instead of the WP3.
  • You are required to be in possession of a copy of your legal residence in Thailand.
  • Foreigners who have the intention of working as teachers in Thailand a letter confirming their employment details in the school or university they have been employed. The letter must be signed by an authorized person in the school or university.
  • An approved letter from the concerned authority under the Ministry of Education must be provided.
  • Applicants of this visa are required to provide a criminal record clearance certificate issued by the police. This document should not be older than 6 months.
  • As soon as foreigners who intend to work as teachers arrive in Thailand, the educational institute they have been employed will apply for a teacher’s license at the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of University Affairs.
  • A copy of the applicant’s work permit, employment contract, employment certificate or teacher’s license is to be submitted to the Immigration Bureau in Bangkok in order to apply for a visa extension.
  • If you have been employed by a Board of Investment (BOI) registered company, you are required to present a letter from Thailand’s Board of Investment.
  • Visa applicants who have some documents missing from their application are required to provide a letter stating the absence of such a document.

  • Visa applicants who intend to work as a film producer, journalist or reporter may apply for this visa.
  • The visa is issued as single and multiple entries.
  • The visa single entry fee is 2000 Baht with 3 months validity while multiple entries is 5000 Baht with a one-year validity.
  • Applicants who have the intention of producing a film or motion picture have to register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to seek a filming permit at the MFA Medial Online Service.
  • Once the filming permit has been approved, the visa applicant can then go ahead with the visa application process.
  • You are requested to present a copy of the visa application form submitted online. The visa application form must have a bar code.
