Basic Travel Requirements for Mauritanians visiting Thailand

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Thai Visa.


  • A Mauritanian international Passport or travel document which has a validity of a minimum of 6 months from the planned date of departure from Thailand. The passport must have two blank pages.
  • Visa applicants must fill in their application online and must present the name and surname in the way it appears on their passports.
  • The visa application which is submitted must have a barcode.
  • Return flight ticket booking confirmation. Flight ticket must show departure date and all stops to be made.
  • Proof of accommodation in Thailand.
  • Bank statement showing transactions for the past three months, with a deposit of a minimum of £500. The bank statement must have the applicant’s name and address.
  • Travel health insurance as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and health insurance of Thailand. The insurance must have coverage of a minimum 40,000 Baht for outpatient and 400,000 Baht for inpatient.
