Basic Travel Requirements for Mauritians visiting Bangladesh

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Bangladeshi Visa.


  • An original Mauritian passport with 6 months validity and at least two blank pages
  • Visa application form duly filled electronically with photo affixed
  • Two Passport-size photographs (45 x 35 mm) not larger than 300kb taken in white background.
  • A valid email address
  • There should be no blank space in the application form, all boxes must be filled
  • The signature on the form must appear as it does in the passport 
  • Application submission time: 9am-11am
     Application delivery time: 3pm-4:30pm (from the counter)
  • The mode of payment should be cash paid to SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd. (A/C no. 50300000128045)
  • Each Visa type has single entry, double entry and multiple entry and the prices are constant across each visa type.      
  • You can extend your visa and your stay in Bangladesh by applying to the Department of Immigration and Authority. Mention the existing visa you have and state the reason why you want to extend it.

If you are in possession of more than $5,000 or its equivalent on entry to Bangladesh, you are required to declare. You cannot leave the country with more than the amount of USD you took in with you and you cannot leave the country with 5,000 Bangladeshi takas. Avoid taking photographs of military and government buildings.
