Application requirements
Documents Mauritian applicants need to provide.
- International passport with at least six months validity from end of stay and two blank pages for visa stamping
- Two copies of the filled and signed application forms
- Recent passport photographs showing full frontal view of face, taken in a white background
- Proof of purpose of travel
- Travel insurance with sufficient medical coverage valid for the duration of the trip
- Flight itinerary
- Round trip ticket
- Prepaid stamped envelopes for returning of the visa
- Bank statements (past 3 months) or proof of financial capability for duration of stay
- Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation
- Border control identification document
- Application should be submitted at least two weeks to one month before intended date of travel.
Visa type details
Tourist visa
- This visa can be issued by any Congolese embassy
- Tourist visa is meant for leisure, visit and tourist purposes
- It is valid for 90 days and allows multiple entry into Congo Brazzaville
- Holders of this visa are not permitted to study or work
- Tourist visa is not the same as a transit visa and cannot replace it
- For minors, parents are to provide birth certificates and proof of legal tutelage
- The minor must also have a personal valid passport
- Hotel reservation or proof of accommodation is needed
- The applicant must submit a letter of invitation containing the following:
- precise reason for the trip
- name and address of host
- The invitation letter must be typed and notarized in the Republic of Congo
- You are to attach two colored passport photographs taken in a white background
- Proof of payment of visa application fee is also required
- Failure to meet all the requirements will result in the rejection of the visa application
Business visa
- Congolese tourist visa is issued to individuals who want to travel for business related activities
- These activities could include conferences, meetings,feasibility study,establishment of businesses
- It is valid for 30 days and cannot be extended
- To obtain a business visa, the following are required:
- A valid international passport
- Two colored passport photographs taken in plain white background
- A copy of civil identity (e.g. Mauritius national ID card)
- Return trip flight ticket
- An invitation letter from host in the Republic of Congo
- A business letter from employer in Mauritius
- The business letter should:
- be typed on the company’s letter-headed paper
- state the nature of activities to be carried out
- contain the name, address and contact number of the host
- specify who will cater for expenses incurred during the trip
- be signed by a notary public in the Republic of Congo
