Entry Requirements
- Mauritians travelling to Malaysia can stay for a maximum period of 30 days without a visa.
- A valid passport ( valid for at least 6 months upon stay in Malaysia) with at least two blank pages is required.
- Visitors are also required to provide proof of reserved accommodation/ confirmed hotel booking.
- They are required to provide two (2) passport photographs and air ticket.
- Visitors are to show proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay (minimum of US$100 per day ).
- Visitors are advised to carry their passports ( containing the Malaysian entry stamp and associated stickers) at all times.
- If a visitor would be travelling to the Eastern parts of Malaysia such as Sabah and Sarawak, he/ she would be required to show their passports to the immigration officers before being granted entry into those parts of Malaysia.
- Visitors who overstay their maximum duration period would either be fined, detained or legal proceedings may be imposed.
- Malaysia's population comprises many ethnic groups, with the Malays being the dominant group. However, about a quarter of the population is Chinese.
