Basic Travel Requirements for Mauritians visiting Syria

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Syrian Visa.

  • Syria application form that is filled and signed.
  •  An original signed Mauritius passport that is valid for six months beyond stay.
  •  Passport should have at least one blank for Syria visa stamp.
  • Two recent 2 by 2 cm passport photograph with a plain background.
  • Passport photographs should be taken within the last three months.
  • Travel itinerary or documents that shows entry and exit date from the country.
  • Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required.
  • For minors, an original birth certificate and ID documents of parents are required.
  • Applicant’s passport with the Israel stamp will be denied a visa.
  • A criminal record signed by the local police department in Mauritius.

  • Syria business visa is granted to visitors for the sole purpose of business activities
  • Syria application form that is filled and signed.
  • An original signed Mauritius passport that is valid for six months beyond stay.

  • The tourist visa is granted to foreigners who want to visit Syria for tourist purposes.
  • Syria application form that is filled and signed.
  • An original signed Mauritius passport that is valid for six months beyond stay.
  • Passport should have at least one blank page for the Syria visa stamp.
  • Two recent 2 by 2 cm passport photograph with a plain background.
  • Passport photographs should be taken within the last three months.
  • Letter of invitation from the host in Syria explaining the relationship to the applicant and purpose of travel.
  • The letter must contain the duration of stay, place of stay  host’s name and contact information
  • Copy of hotel confirmation stating the name of the applicant, address of the hotel, and duration of stay.
  • Travel documents showing entry and exit from Syria.
  • Applicants are not allowed to work or start a business with this tourist visa.
  • Applicants with tourist visas are not permitted to set up personal business in Syria
  • Hotel reservation or a confirmation that you'll be accommodated by your host in the Netherlands. 
  • Applicants must show proof they have enough funds to last them the entire duration of stay.
  • Maximum stay for a tourist visa is 30 days and it is usually processed in 7 working days
