Basic Travel Requirements for Mozambicans visiting Colombia
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Colombian Visa.
- A Mozambican passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must also have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
- A duly completed and signed visa application.
- Copy of passport pages with previous Colombian visa/stamps, if any.
- If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
- Three passport-sized photographs (1.5inches x 2.5 inches) taken on a white background.
- The travel document must be completed.
- Proof of financial capability.
- A valid proof of accommodation/hotel reservations.
- Copy of return flight ticket.
- Documentation showing the applicant’s ties to the home country.

Colombia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- A Colombian visa is available for Mozambicans with the intention to visit the country for recreational purposes.
- The Colombian tourist visa can be applied for either online or in person. If applied online, an electronic visa is issued and sent to your email.
- You must print and present this electronic visa at the first port of entry in Colombia.
- A passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of travel and 3 months after scheduled return from travel is required.
- Copy of passport pages with previous Colombian visa/stamps should be submitted if any with two free pages for visa stamps.
- Three passport-sized photographs (1.5inches x 2.5 inches) taken on a white background are required.
- A copy of the first and last pages of your passport should be presented.
- Proof of ties to your home country(Mozambique) is needed if any.
- An original copy of your last 3 months bank statements is very important.
- A valid round trip flight ticket should be presented.
Colombia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- A business visa may be granted to Mozambicans who is accredited as a business person, legal representative, director or executive of a foreign company who wishes to enter the country to establish a commercial presence.
- Photocopy of passport pages containing the information (pages with stamps and Bio / Photo Page) is required.
- Present Form DP-FO-67 “Application for a visa” completely filled out and signed by the foreign applicant, not by an intermediary.
- 1 recent color 3x4 centimeters in digital form on a CD or memory stick and also get 2 photos for your cedula at 3x4 centimeters with a white background printed on paper for the cedula.
- Letter of invitation addressed to the foreign applicant for a Business Visa from a company or legal person established in Colombia stating that the activities that the business person is to perform in this country and that it assumes responsibility for him/her during his/her stay in Colombia, together with a certification of incorporation or legal representation is important.
- The Original Certificate of Existence and Legal Representation issued by the Chamber of Commerce - of the city where the company was incorporated issued no more than 90 days beforehand which states that the foreigner is a partner or owner of the registered establishment, indicating a capital or registered fixed assets of the foreign applicant, for no less than 100 legal monthly salaries in effect in Colombia.
- If it is a corporation, the applicant must provide an original of the certificate of the operating composition subscribed by the auditor, indicating the value of the shares owned by the foreign applicant. which cannot be less than one-hundred (100) legal monthly salaries in effect in Colombia.
- Letter of introduction of the applicant for a Business Visa as chief, representative or member of the personnel of the foreign governmental Commercial Office established in Colombia which promotes financial or commercial exchanges in or with Colombia must be submitted.
Colombia Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- A Colombian student visa is available for Mozambicans who have intentions to study in Colombia.
- Valid current passport with an expiration date of more than 180 days and two blank pages is to be submitted.
- Copy of the first page of your current passport where your personal data is displayed is required.
- Copy of the page of your passport where the last stamp of entry or departure of Colombia is located must be provided.
- Letter from the applicant accompanied by bank statements indicating that the average bank balance for the applicant for the past 6 months is more than 10 times the legal monthly minimum wage in Colombia is necessary.
- Certificate of admission or enrollment to studies of elementary school, high school or higher education in undergraduate school authorized in Colombia must be presented.
- Photocopy of “certificate of existence and legal representation” is required from the university.
- Authorization of the parents and designation of the person responsible for the student during his/her stay in Colombia, authenticated by a Colombian notary or consul in the case of minors is very important.
- A letter (in Spanish) is required from the person with economic responsibility for the student guaranteeing the expenses of the student and documents showing economic solvency.
- Copy of the admissions or enrollment certificate issued by the educational institution is required.
- Document issued by the educational institution proving that the hour intensity is at least a minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Receipt of payment for classes is required from the educational institution.
- Since you are applying for the visa in-person you will not need photographs as your photo will be taken on-site.
