Basic Travel Requirements for Namibians visiting Canada

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Canadian Visa.

  • Completely filled and signed visa application form.
  • Original passport valid for at least 6 months on the intended date of the trip to Canada. It must have two blank pages for visa stamps.

Canada Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The tourist visa is for Namibians travelling for the purpose of tourism.
  • The tourist visa can also be used as a visitor's visa.
  • Applicants must have an original passport valid for at least three months after the planned date for departure.
  • Holders of this visa type are not allowed to take up employment.
  • Be able to convince the immigration officer that you have a family, prosperity, asset, etc that would serve as an incentive to come back to your home country.
  • Holders of this visa are not allowed to study during their stay in the country.
  • You are to register with the police within three days of arrival into the country.
  • Present a letter of invitation from your host in the country if you are visiting a friend or relative.
  • Proof of accommodation.
  • Have sufficient funds to support yourself in Canada and the amount depends on how long you will be staying in Canada and whether you will be staying with your family, friend or any paid accommodation.
  • Tempory resident visa based on your citizenship.
  • Visa application of minors is to be submitted by parents or legal representatives.

Canada Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Businessmen and businesswomen visiting Canada with the intention of engaging in business activities are eligible for this visa.
  • Foreigners are allowed to negotiate and sign business contracts with their partners during business meetings.
  • During your time in the country, you are allowed to attend trade fairs, conferences, and business seminars.
  • A letter of invitation from the host company in Canada stating the nature of the business to be carried out and the duration of the business trip is required. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and signed by an authorized signatory of the company.
  • Business registration or a Letter of Recognition from the Canada Border Services Agency.
  • Other documents such as warranty or service agreements, or contracts, if relevant to your visit.
  • 24-hour contact details of your business host in Canada.
  • Proof that you have enough money for both your stay in Canada and your return home.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer stating awareness and allowance of the business leave is required. The letter must also state the duration and the purpose of the business trip.
  • The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant during his/her time in the country.
  • Proof of previous trade relations between the host company and sponsoring company must be provided if any.
  • You are expected to return to your country at the expiry of this visa.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.

Canada Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This is also known as the F visa
  • It is issued for degree awarding courses in an educational institution or for vocational courses
  • The student visa is typically valid for the duration of your course in Canada 
  • Holders of this visa must be full-time students and are required to provide proof of financial means enough to last the duration of the course
  • Your transcripts, test score from your home school or other similar documents might be required
  • Documents stating the accommodation arrangement during your studies
  • Proof that you will return to your home county when you have completed your studies is required
  • A student with this visa is allowed to engage only in on-campus employment
  • You cannot obtain a student permit if you have a criminal record so you may have to show a certificate to prove that you haven’t got one to be considered.
  • Proof of payment of the visa fee
  • Proof of medical insurance with coverage valid in Canada
  • Copy of the CV
