Basic Travel Requirements for Namibians visiting Italy
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Italian Visa.
- Duly completed visa application form signed by the applicant.
- A copy of the information pages of your valid signed Namibia passport with at least 1 year of remaining validity. Please do NOT send your original passport
- Include 2 passport-style photo, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months.
- An Embassy fee of 60 Euros must be paid at the time of appointment.
- Proof of Status.
- Proof of group travel, hotel reservations, and airline reservations.
- Copy of international health insurance specifically covering the territory of the European Union and indicating the validity of this coverage (with a minimum medical coverage of EUR 30,000). The policy should cover all expenses for repatriation, emergency medical aid, and hospital treatment for the period of stay.
- Original and one copy of bank statements from the past three months
- A reference letter from your employer.
- Copies of any previously-issued Schengen visas.
- Copies of any visas needed for the current trip.

General Requirements for Italy Visa

Italy Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Business travelers visiting Italy for the purpose of developing and maintaining business relationships between the applicant’s company and the host company.
- Cover letter from the inviting Italian company. The letter should indicate your name and designation, travel dates, itinerary, duration of stay, details on trip’s sponsor, the purpose of visit, and signed by an authorized person.
- Registration Certificate of the inviting company.
- A letter from your employer. In this letter the purpose of travel should be stated.
- Proof of trip financing. Regarding the applicant’s expenses during their stay in Italy, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.
Italy Visitor Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- When travelling to Italy upon the invitation of a friend or a family member residing in Italy, you will need to hold an Italian Visitor visa, in order to be permitted to enter and remain in Italy for up to 90 days within a 6-month period.
- Proof of financial means. Evidence that shows you have enough money to support yourself throughout your stay in Italy. This could be a: Bank certification, bank books, Personal bank statements, credit card statements or balance covering the last six months.
- Sponsorship Letter showing the person who will be financially sponsoring your trip to Italy. It is also often called an Affidavit of Support.
- Travel Itinerary, a detailed day-to-day plan of your trip to Italy.
- Letter of Invitation by the relative/friend residing in Italy, inviting you to visit.
- Proof of relationship with the host residing in Italy.
Italy Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- A tourist visa is granted to foreigners going to Italy for purposes which includes tourist activities such as exploring, sightseeing and meeting their relatives.
- Your passport should be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of your departure from Italy.
- Passport should have a minimum of 2 blank pages available in your passport for Italy entry and exit stamps.
- Bank statement , preferably for the last 6 months.
- The amendment pages will not be used for either visa insurance for entry and exit stamps.
- Hotel reservation or confirmation of accommodation in Italy.
- An original birth certificate and signed consent note is required from minors.
- Proof how you will be financing your trip to Italy.
- Letter of invitation from your host in the country with the home address of the host or copy of your hotel reservation in Italy is needed.
- Applicants are not permitted to overstay in Italy after expiration of the visa.
- Travel Itinerary showing a description of your trip day-to-day.
Italy Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of studying in any of the academic institutions in the country.
- Foreigners must have been accepted into an educational institution before they are granted this visa.
- A letter of acceptance printed on the institution’s letterhead stating the course the applicant has been offered and the duration of the study program.
- The educational institution must be accredited and must offer a full-time study.
- Applicants who have completed a higher education programme in Italy will be granted a 6-month residence permit to search for employment.
- If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided during the visa application process.
- Certificates and transcripts of the previous institutions attended by the applicant are required.
- International students are not allowed to work during their study program in Italy.
- No objection letter from the educational institution where you are currently enrolled (if applicable).
- Enrollment proof. An original and legible photocopy of acceptance of enrolment by the Italian School of Institution, stating clearly the duration of the course.
- Declaration of Value (Dichiarazione di Valore) of the applicant’s educational certificates duly legalized by the Consular office of this Consulate General. The local Institution or School should advise this Consulate directly in case it is not required.
