Basic Travel Requirements for Namibians visiting Jamaica

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Jamaican Visa.

Jamaica Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreigners applying for this visa have the intention of visiting Jamaica for the purpose of leisure and tourism.
  • This visa also allows foreign nationals to honour the invitation of their friends or relatives who hold permanent residency in the country.
  • A letter of invitation from your host in the country is required. The letter must state the relationship between the applicant and the host and must contain the valid contact information of the host.
  • During your time in the country, you are allowed to attend festivals and events taking place in the country.
  • A letter from your employer in Namibia should be provided. The letter must state the applicant’s job position, salary level, and length of employment.
  • Minors applying for this visa are expected to be in possession of the original copy of their birth certificate. If the minor is traveling with one or none of the parents, a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor is required.
  • Holders of this visa are prohibited from receiving payments for the services they render during their time in the country.
  • Documents which show that you have the incentive of returning to your country is required.

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of engaging in business activities during their time in the country.

  • During your time in the country, you are allowed to attend trade fairs, conferences, and business seminars.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer in Namibia should be provided. The letter must state the awareness and allowance of the applicant’s business leave.
  • An official letter of invitation from the inviting company is required. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and must state the duration and purpose of the applicant’s visit.
  • The business letter from the inviting company must state who will be responsible for the applicant’s finances in the country.
  • Proof of previous trade relations between the two companies should be provided.
  • All travellers to Jamaica are required to be vaccinated against yellow fever.
  • You are expected to leave the country on or before this visa expires.
  • Duration of visa will depend on the period of contract but the minimum time of duration is 90 days.

  • This visa is issued to Namibians who have been accepted into any of the academic institutions in jamaica.
  • A letter of admission printed on the institution’s letterhead stating the course the applicant has been offered and the duration of the study program.
  • Completed visa application form J (a signature is required)
  • Applicants should ensure they submit the certificates and transcripts of the schools they previously attended.
  • If you are a minor, the original copy of your birth certificate is required. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
  • Foreign students are allowed to study part-time when school is in session and full-time when school is on break.
  • Foreigners cannot seek public funds in the country.
  • The documents to be submitted during the visa application process should be translated into the English language if they are not already in English.

  • To have this visa you must provide the visa of your final destination country.
  • No business activity is allowed for holders of this visa.
