Switzerland Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Switzerland tourist visa is issued to Namibians that intend to travel to Switzerland for sightseeing, tourism, vacation, and other leisure activities.
- To have the Switzerland tourist visa, your passport must be genuine and have a validity of not less than 6 months beyond the intended date of departure from Switzerland. There must be at least two blank visa pages left in your passport.
- Two 2 photos of a 3.5cms X 4.5cms size along with your application. Your face, from the top of the head to the bottom of the chin, should measure between 29 to 35mm.
- Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the approved duration of your stay in Switzerland and have at least two blank visa pages. If you have been issued a new visa within the last 3 years, you are to provide the original copy of your previous passport.
- You are to make photocopies of the personal data page of your passport, all visas in it, and your national identity card.
- You must provide proof of hotel accommodation in Switzerland for the entire duration of your stay, such as a confirmed hotel booking clearly showing the name and contact details of the hotel.
- A tour itinerary of your planned trip showing your schedule of activities, places you plan to visit and how long you intend to stay in Switzerland should be submitted.
- Proof of accommodation. Evidence that shows where you will be staying throughout your time in Schengen. This could be a:
- Hotel/hostel booking. With name, complete address, phone, and e-mail, for the entire time you will be in the Schengen area.
- Proof of financial means. Evidence that shows you have enough money to support yourself throughout your stay in Schengen. This could be a bank account statement.
- If you are self-employed, you should submit proof of business certification such as the Business License and the company's certified bank account statements for the last three months.
- If you are retired, you must provide proof that you are receiving a pension or other financial support.
Switzerland Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Switzerland business visa allows foreign nationals to engage in business activities such as business conferences, meetings, training or seminars in Switzerland.
- Your Namibian passport must be original and have a minimum validity of 30 days beyond the expiry of your intended visit.
- You must submit a fully completed and signed visa application form as incomplete application forms will not be accepted.
- Two colour passport-size photographs must be submitted with your visa application form. The photos must fit the Switzerland visa application photo specifications.
- You are also required to submit a signed letter by your employer stating the purpose of your visit and the duration of your intended stay in Switzerland.
- Proof that you intend to leave Switzerland once your visa expires.
- Invitation letter from the Swiss company you will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied with the dates of your visit.
- You should also provide proof of financial means for the entire duration of your stay in Switzerland. This could be a guarantee letter from your company or a letter of support from the partner company, stating that they will be taking responsibility for your financial needs for the entire duration of your stay.
- If there exist previous business relations with the partner company in proof will be required.
- A certificate from your employer stating/allowing your business travel.
- Invitation letter from the Swiss company you will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied with the dates of your visit, you are required to provide proof of this. This could be in the form of payment receipts for goods received, bills of lading, or other such documents.
- If you intend to start a business or invest in a business in Switzerland, you need to obtain a business permit.
- You must provide proof of payment of the visa fee before your application can be processed.
