Luxembourg Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is for visa applicants who wish to enter into Luxembourg for business reasons.
  • This visa allows its holders a maximum stay of 90 days.
  • The Luxembourg business visa is issued based on single-entry for those who wish to enter the country only once and multiple/double-entry for persons who wish to enter Luxembourg more than once.
  • Applicants are to provide an invitation letter from the inviting company in Luxembourg.
  • This letter must also contain the detailed address of the company accompanied by the date and purpose of your trip.
  • A letter granting allowance/permission of the applicant's business trip by the employer is to be submitted for the application.
  • If you are going for conferences, seminars, or lectures, you are to provide a registration certificate of the event or an invitation letter from the sponsors/organizers of the event.
  • The applicant's bank statements for the last 6 months are to be submitted.
  • If the applicant is self-employed, the company's registration license and bank statements are to be also submitted.
  • This visa is processed within 15 days so the applicant has to apply for the visa between 15 days to 3 months before the planned trip.
  • A letter stating coverage of the applicant's expenses for their entire trip is to be also provided.

Luxembourg Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is for foreign students who wish to travel to Luxembourg for the purpose of studying in any of the educational institutions in the country. 
  • This visa is a long term visa which means that its holder is allowed to stay in Luxembourg for a long time.
  • This visa will not be issued to students who have not been given admission to an institution in Luxembourg.
  • Applicants of this visa must have applied to the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg for ‘temporary authorization to stay’. 
  • This temporary authorization to stay is valid for a period of 90 days only after which the applicant can then apply for a student visa.
  • Proof of enrollment as a full-time student in one of Luxembourg’s institutions for higher education must be submitted for this application.
  • Proof of payment of complete tuition fees for the course of study is to be provided. 
  • Medical insurance for the applicant's entire stay in Luxembourg must be also submitted.
  • The medical insurance must have insurance coverage of at least 30,000Euros and must be valid throughout the Schengen area.
  • The applicant must show proof of at least 500Euros per day for their entire stay.
  • A valid proof of accommodation should be submitted. This could either be a dormitory contract (signed between you and an official of a dormitory in Luxembourg) or a Rental Agreement (a contract with a property owner in Luxembourg, specifying the address and other information details about the facility and landlord).

Luxembourg Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Luxembourg tourist visa is for applicants who wish to travel to Luxembourg for tourism and sightseeing purposes.
  • This visa also allows its holders to visit friends and relatives while in the country.
  • Applicants who will be visiting relatives/friends are to provide proof of the relationship between them and the host.
  • The host is to provide a letter stating their home address and contact details.
  • The Luxembourg tourist visa is valid for only 90 days. 
  • The visa is issued for single or multiple entries into the country. 
  • In cases of multiple entries, the visitor is allowed a stay of 90 days within a 6 months period.
