Basic Travel Requirements for Pakistanis visiting Italy

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Italian Visa.


  • Applicants are required to be correctly filled and sign the Italy visa application form.
  • The application form of minors should be signed by both parents/legal guardians of the minor.
  • Recent passport photographs (35 by 45 mm) should be taken against a white background.
  • Original Pakistan passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the intended stay in Italy.
  • The passport must have at least 2 blank pages for the Italy visa stamp.
  • A copy of the applicant’s travel itinerary showing travel details and dates of arrival and departure from Italy.
  • Travel/medical insurance that is valid for the whole duration of stay in Italy is required.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations in Italy is required.
  • Proof of sufficient financial means for the whole period of stay in Italy.
  • All the documents should be provided in the original and copy. 
  • Original documents will be returned to applicants while copies will be kept with the visa application. 
  • No photocopy will be accepted, except for the photocopy of the identity card or passport of the inviting party residing in Italy. 
  • In case of submission of forged/counterfeit/fake document or passport, the applicant’s passport and all the submitted documents will be forwarded to the Pakistan Police for investigations and the applicant will be prosecuted in the Italian Court.
