Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Cypriot Visa.
- An International passport valid three months beyond exit from Cyprus.
- Two identical photo passports (40mmx50mm).
- A duly completed visa application form.
- A letter from the applicant stating the reasons for visiting Cyprus.
- A copy of the hotel reservation confirming the applicant’s accommodation.
- A letter of invitation which contains the host’s contact information.
- Travellers with tourist or work visa should produce an official letter from the applicant’s employer to confirm their employment status.

Cyprus Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is for foreign students who wish to further their university or college degree in Cyprus.
- A letter of admission from the school in Cyprus is to be presented.
- The applicant is to provide an enrollment certificate which allows them to attend courses in Cyprus.
- Proof of payment of acceptance fees is to be submitted for the visa application
- Students in possession of this type of visa are to have the relevant permit issued by the Civil Archive and Migration Department for the visa application process.
- The student visa is issued for a specific educational institution.
- If any holder of this visa decides to change an institution, they have to obtain a new residence permit.
- Holders of this student visa are not permitted to work during their stay in Cyprus.
- Exceptions are made by the consulate for certain courses for which working permits may be issued to enable practical training during the summer holidays such as IT and Engineering courses.
- The Cyprus student visa is only issued to full-time students and a full-time student takes a minimum of 12 credits in a semester.
- Attendance of your courses/classes is compulsory as it concerns your program's discipline of study approved by the ministry of education and culture.
- As an international student, you are allowed to invite your friends and relatives to Cyprus. However, it is only under the condition that you can secure a bank deposit of 300 Cyprus Pound for each invited person.
- The applicants are to provide certificates and transcripts from their previously attended schools.
- A copy of their stay permit for non-citizens is to be submitted.
- This visa can be extended to cover the duration of your study in the country.
- If you are a minor, a letter of authorization signed by both your parents is required.

Cyprus Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Cyprus tourist visa is for persons willing to travel to Cyprus for tourism and sight seeing purposes.
- This visa does not allow you to migrate to Cyprus.
- It is also known as a Short stay visa.
- Persons who are traveling to Cyprus to visit family, relatives, and friends are also eligible for this visa.
- The holders of this visa can enter and exit Cyprus once or multiple times.
- The duration of your stay will not exceed 90 days in any half of the year from the date of the first visit.
- The tourist visa is extendable.
- For a visit to family and friends, a letter of invitation is required.
- The letter has to be duly signed and completed by the host and should include his/her contact details, house address, and occupation and it should also be signed by the Migration Department.
- A copy of hotel reservations confirmed by the hotel manager would be needed.
- An itinerary of travel arrangements showing the arrival date and intended duration of stay must be provided.
- The tickets should be purchased before the visa is issued.
- The visa for the return country should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended duration of stay.
- Visitors to Cyprus are to have original passports valid for at least three months beyond the period of validity of the visa issued(you will have to make photocopies of the passports too).
- A bank statement is necessary to prove that the applicant is financially capable of covering their expenses during their duration of stay in Cyprus.
- If a minor is to enter Cyprus unaccompanied, he/she is expected to provide a statement giving consent which must be duly signed by both parents, then signed by the mayor of their area.
- Passport photos of the minor and his/her parents are to be submitted.
- The processing time takes about 10 to 15 days.
- If an applicant wishes to travel with a pet, they are to send the pet's medical statement, date and time of arrival, and airline company and flight number to the Veterinary service department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment of the Republic of Cyprus.
Cyprus Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- There are two types of transit visas; the Airport Transit Visa(ATV), and the Transit visa
- Thie transit visa may be issued for one transit, or exceptionally for several transits and is valid 5 days.
- The visa allows it's holder enter into the country, i.e they are not restricted to just the airport transit area.
- Holders of the visa are not to study while they are in the country.
- There is a group transit visa which has a maximum validity of 30 days issued by the Cyprus embassy.
- The group visa is issued on conditions that members of the group enter the territory, stay, and leave as a group.
- The visa of your destination country is to be also submitted.
- Group visas are issued to groups of between 5 and 50 people.
- The person in charge of the group is to possess an individual passport.
- The Airport Transit Visa(ATV) is for persons who wish to make short stops in Cyprus.
- The airport transit visa(ATV) is for travelers who are making short stops in Cyprus.
- This visa allows its holders to alight from an airplane in a Cypriot airport and board another flight going to another destination.
- Visa holders are not to leave the airport transit area.
- A copy of a flight ticket to the final destination country is to be submitted during the visa application.
- The visa of your destination country is to be also submitted.
- This visa is valid for 2 days.
- This visa may be issued for one transit, or exceptionally for several transits.
- You must leave Cyprus before the expiration of this visa.
- This visa can not be extended.
- You are not to use this visa for business, educational or tourist purposes.
- Only travelers with a clean criminal record will be issued this visa.
- Receipt of payment of visa application fee is required.
- Proof of incentive for returning to your country is also required.
Cyprus Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Cyprus work visa is for visa applicants who are traveling to Cyprus for employment reasons.
- This work visa allows for more than one entry and the multiple-entry visa is valid for a year.
- In some cases, it might be valid for more than one year but not more than five years for certain persons.
- You will require an entry and work permit.
- Application forms must be accompanied by the employment contract stamped by the Department of Labor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance.
- The application is to be forwarded to the Civil Registry and Migration Department.
- Applicants have to provide the embassy with evidence that they have been invited by a Cyprus company or are participating in any conference, seminars, or business events.
- Holders of this visa can undertake any form of employment during the duration of their stay.
- For visits less than 90 days, visitors can exceed the duration of their stay while still in Cyprus.
- Visitors who wants to stay in Cyprus for more than 90 days can extend their stay by applying for a work or a temporary residence permit depending on their reasons for extension it will be approved.
- This visa can be obtained from Cyprus Consulate after the applicant has received an invitation from a Cyprus corporate organization.
- The time frame for obtaining this visa depends on the embassy’s workload but it approximately takes 10 days.
- When visiting with this visa, an official letter would be required. The letter should be addressed to the Consulate of Cyprus and have proof of the applicant’s wage or salary.
- A photocopy of the tax declaration for the last three years will be required during the visa application process.
- If the applicant is self-employed, a letter from a solicitor, accountant, or bank manager should be provided to prove his/her financial status.
- The applicant is to provide a photocopy of their passport.
- The employment contract with a revenue stamp from the revenue stamp registrar is to be submitted.
- The applicant's medical certificate is to be also submitted.
