Basic Travel Requirements for Filipinos visiting Japan

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Japanese Visa.


  • A Philippine passport with a validity of 6 months and with at least two blank pages for entry and exit visa stamps.
  • A duly accomplished Japanese visa form
  • Birth certificate from PSA issued within one year
  • Marriage certificate from PSA issued within one year.
  • If you have a guarantor/ sponsor, a guarantee letter, proof of relationship with the guarantor, the bank certificate and income tax return of the guarantor is required.
  • Determine the type of visa that you need
  • Two colored recent photographs  (45 mm x 45 mm) with a white background. 
  • Prepare the Japan visa requirement and pay the processing fee
  • Medical insurance is required
  • A proof of funds to support the daily expenses during your stay. 
  • All visa fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • All visa collection time is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Mondays - Fridays except holidays).
