Basic Travel Requirements for Filipinos visiting Nigeria

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Nigerian Visa.

  • Nigeria Immigration Service Visa Payment Receipt and Visa Acknowledgement Receipt
  • A Nigerian passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
  • A completely signed visa application form.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign a guardianship form.
  • Two recent passport size photographs are required (35mm x 45mm).
  • Proof of financial support for the day to day expenses during the stay
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Copy of return flight ticket.
  • A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.

Nigeria Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The tourist visa is issued to Philippines applicants who want to visit Nigeria for tourism.
  • A valid passport for at least 6 months.
  • Completed visa application form.
  • Two recent passport size photographs(35mm x45mm).
  • Nigeria immigration service visa payment receipt and visa acknowledgement receipt is required.
  • The Nigerian tourist visa is normally processed under 3-5 business days.
  • Tourist visa applicants are strongly advised to finalize their flight booking only after the visa is granted.
  • Please note that no refund of the visa application fee will be made if the application is denied or the visa is approved after the applicant’s scheduled departure date.
  • Tourist visa applicants are not allowed to work or study on this visa.
  • Prepare to leave the country within the time allowed by the visa; overstaying is an offence.
  • Application for a tourist visa must be made in person.

  • The business visa is issued to the Philippines traveling to Nigeria for business-related activities.
  • A passport valid for at least 6 months

Nigeria Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to the Philippines traveling to Nigeria to study in an academic institution.
  • A medical certificate issued by a recognized medical institution in the Philippine showing that the applicant does not suffer from a contagious disease.
  • Applicants of this visa are to present proof of a clean criminal record.
  • If the applicant of this visa is under the age of 18 years, a letter of consent signed by the person exercising parental authority is required.
  • The letter of acceptance should be printed on the institution's letterhead and must state the course the applicant will be studying.
  • Proof of sufficient finance during the stay in Nigeria. 
  • Philippine letter of residence.
  • A passport valid for at least six months is required.
