Basic Travel Requirements for Rwandans visiting Albania

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Albanian Visa.


  • A duly completed visa application form is required for Rwandans travelling to Albania.
  • Your passport must be valid for 3 months after entry into Albania. It must have 1 blank page for visa stamp.
  • A passport-sized photograph that meets the visa application requirement and is not older than 6 months will be needed for the application.
  • There's no Albanian embassy in Rwanda, hence, visa applications can go through the Albanian embassy in Cairo or Istanbul.
  • You'll need to provide a travel itinerary to and from Albania.
  • Valid flight reservation and return ticket are needed.
  • Documentation proving status in Rwanda, either as an employee, student or self-employed citizen must be provided.
  • Proof of retired fund is required for retired visa applicants.
  • You'll need to submit a proof of accommodation which could be a hotel booking or an invitation letter from your host affirming you'll be hosted. A valid means of identification must be submitted as well.
  • Documentation showing proof of sufficient financial means to stay in Albania and return to Rwanda.
  • Children under 18 can travel with their parents' visa.
  • A vaccine against Measles-Mups-Rubella, Tetanus, Chicken Pox and Flu is recommended.
  • Additionally, travelers that intend to have sex, get a tattoo or undergo a medical procedure in Albania are advised to be vaccinated against Hepatitis B.
  • Valid medical insurance that provides overseas coverage is required.
