  • Rwanda citizens can get visa on arrival for travelling to Bangladesh as tourists and the maximum duration of stay is 30 days.
  • Visitors are required to possess one copy of a filled visa application form.
  • Original valid passport (valid at least for 6 months) with one copy of a recent photograph (Size: 37mmX37mm).

  • The penalties for staying beyond visa duration are as follows: 1 to 15 days = 200 Bangladeshi taka per day + 160 U.S. dollar (or equivalent in Bangladeshi taka) processing fee; 16 to 30 days = 500 Bangladeshi taka per day + 160 U.S. dollar (or equivalent in Bangladeshi taka) processing fee; 31 days or more = Adjudication at immigration office.
  • For business purposes, visitors must have an Invitation letter from Bangladesh and a letter from the company that is sending the applicant to Bangladesh.
  • Visiting journalists must have the following documents: Photocopy of the first five pages of the passport,  Original passport and necessary payment receipt only after Embassy’s clearance, flight particulars (tickets and tax payments) when clearance is conveyed and the list of equipment the applicant is bringing into the country.
  • Internet speed in Bangladesh is on an average of 2.7 Mbps while WiFi coverage in is very low, hence,  it is quite hard to find one.
  • When traveling by air, all travelers except children under the age of two must pay a departure tax. While it is often included when air tickets are purchased, it may be collected at the airport at the time of departure. The amount varies depending on the destination.
