Entry Requirements

  • Rwandans can travel to Dominica without obtaining a visa and can stay there for up to 180 days. 
  • Rwandans are required to possess a passport with a validity of at least 6 months from the date of arrival.
  • Children aged below 18 years old may not carry a photo ID or passport while travelling to Dominica.
  • Certificate of Vaccination for  Yellow Fever, Polio, Typhoid Tetanus and Hepatitis A is required.
  • Visitors must have return or onward tickets and all documents required for their next trip.
  • Visitors aged 16 years old or more are allowed to possess a moderate amount of cigarettes,  alcoholic drinks and perfumes for personal use.
  • Animal products like cheese, meat, sausage and fresh vegetables, fruits or plants are prohibited.
  • A health certificate issued by a competent veterinary surgeon fro the home country, stating that animals are in good health is needed to bring in cats and dogs.
  • The animals mentioned above must be vaccinated against rabies and parvovirus within a period of more than one month and less than one year before arrival.
  • It is prohibited to bring in any type of bird into Dominica.
  • Visitors luggage should be cleared at first airport of entry.
  • All visitors are required to pay a departure tax of USD 20 that is usually included in the ticket. However, if the tax is not included in the ticket, it must be paid on departure. 
  • Rwandans are not allowed to take local currencies on entry and departure.
  • Visitors are allowed to take foreign currencies at departure provided the exported sums are declared on arrival, but there are no restrictions on cheques. 
  • Direct flights are available from Kigali International Airport to Santo Domingo, Dominica.
