Travel and visa requirements
Basic Travel Requirements for Rwandans visiting Greece
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Greek Visa.
- Completed visa application form
- Passport Photo not older than 6 months
- Passport or Travel documents with at least 6 months validity on the date of travel and have at least 2 pages clear of any markings.
- Previous Passport (if any)
- Flight reservations(s) for the country of your visit and return ticket
- Proof of travel insurance with the Certificate of Insurance and the table of benefits. You could also provide a letter of insurance from the bank along with a credit card copy with a minimum cover of EUR 30,000.
- The travel insurance must cover the cost of repatriation for medical reasons and the Certificate of Currency must be issued by an insurance company operating in Australia or within the EU. You can also provide a letter from the bank confirming that you have insurance with them
- Applicant's most recent monthly bank statement clearly showing the applicant's name as the account holder, the balances of the accounts, and the date of the statement. If statements are printed online then it has to be Authenticated (stamped) by the bank officials.
- Original bank statements for the last 3 months showing sufficient funds to cover stay in Italy
- Hotel reservation(s) for the duration of your visit.
- A letter from your employer on company letterhead, with contact details, stating that a leave of absence has been granted, purpose and duration of the trip, and that you will be returning to your current job.
- Income Tax Return (ITR)
- Original payslips
- Include a copy of your business license(if you are self-employed)
- If you are a student, submit an official letter from your school indicating that you are in good standing and that you are registered for the upcoming semester and a No Objection Certificate from School or University.
- If retired, submit proof of your retirement fund
- Visa fee for children between the ages of 6 and 12 is 35 EURO while it is free for children ages 6 and below

- A certificate from your employer permitting your business travel
- Proof of previous trade relations between the two companies, if any.

- Memorandum and Article of Association in original certified copy (registered with joint-stock companies) Trade License (first issued and present renewal), Proprietorship/Partnership documents are required as well.
- Regarding the applicant’s expenses during stay in Greece, either the employer or the partner company are to state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.
