Liechtenstein is a mountainous country located between Austria and Switzerland. Liechtenstein Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Liechtenstein tourist visa is issued to people who want to visit the territory for tourism and leisure.
  • This country is one of the Schengen territories and visas issued to this territory are referred to as Schengen visas.
  • This visa is the Type-C visa which is the short-stay visa for Schengen countries.
  • You are expected to submit a passport or other travel document issued within the last 10 years.
  • The passport must have at least 2 blank pages and be valid for at least another 3 months after the departure date from Liechtenstein.
  • In the case where other people would be traveling on one person's passport or travel document, each person traveling must submit their visa forms.
  • When submitting the application form, your fingerprints will be taken and these will remain valid for 5 years. 
  • Children under the age of 12 do not need to have their fingerprints taken.

Liechtenstein Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to those who have intentions of attending conferences and business meetings in Liechtenstein.
  • You are to submit an invitation letter from your business partner’s company, or exhibition or even the seminar you would be attending. 
  • An Income Tax Returns document and a bank statement dating back to three months are required for submission at the embassy. 
  • Proof of legal entity of the host company should be submitted at the embassy. 
  • A cover letter that appends the applicant's purpose of entry into the country and the duration of stay is necessary.   
  • In the case of a sponsored employee, you are expected to submit a profile of your company of employment.
  • An original bank statement of either the host company or the company of employment would be needed. 
  • Sponsored applicants are to also submit a letter of permission signed by their employers.
  • The applicant's confirmed accommodation provision is also necessary for submission.

Liechtenstein Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A Schengen study visa is issued to students from non-European countries who wish to study in Liechtenstein. 
  • Applicants are expected to apply for the residency permit in the designated country for one whole year or more until the end of their study.
  • For students who want to stay longer than a year, they are issued the Students Permit visa.
  • This permit stands as strong proof that applicants are going to Liechtenstein to study.
  • Applicant's acceptance letter from a school in Liechtenstein is required to confirm the purpose of the application.
  • Note that students who are looking for Schengen study visa do not have to obtain the citizenship status of the designated territory.
  • Applicants must also apply for the residency permit in the designated territory until the end of the study. 
  • Submit a letter of acceptance or LoA from the designated university along with the other documents. It shows that you have officially become a student at the University.
  • Applicants must prove that they have no criminal record from their country of origin.

  • The Liechtenstein work visa is issued to those who intend to work in the territory for some time. 
  • You are to attach proof of your academic qualification such as grade’s transcription and certificates.
  • Applicants should also bring proof of their language knowledge.
  • The applicant's employment contract which has been signed by the employer would be requested for at the embassy.
  • A cover letter explaining the purpose of your visit to the Schengen country is also required.
  • Note that the embassy might request for more documents than the aforementioned.
  • There should be a signed note from the hiring company stating their intended sponsorship of the employed applicant.
