Visa type details
Tourist visa
- Rwandans who intend to travel to Niger for vacation, tourism, sightseeing, or other leisure activities are eligible to apply for the Nigerien tourist visa.
- The tourist visa also allows its holder to visit friends or relatives residing in Niger.
- Your original Rwandan passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of your intended departure from the Republic of Niger and have at least two unused pages.
- You are required to fully complete and sign 2 visa application forms. To avoid unnecessary delay in the issuance of your visa, you are advised to complete the visa application forms thoroughly and accurately.
- 2 passport-size photographs must also be submitted with the visa application forms.
- As proof that you intend to return to your country of origin, you must provide a copy of a roundtrip ticket, a return flight ticket or your confirmed itinerary.
- You are also required to submit proof of a hotel reservation in the Republic of Niger for the entire duration of your stay in the country.
- You must also submit a copy of an international certificate of vaccination for yellow fever and cholera.
- As proof that you can cater to your financial needs while in the Republic of Niger, you are required to present a copy of your most recent bank statements showing that you have at least $500.
- Visitors are advised to adhere strictly to the local laws and rules in the Republic of Niger.
- Minors should submit copies of their birth certificate as well as a letter of consent from their parents or guardians allowing them to travel to Niger.
- You are required to provide proof of payment of the visa fee.
Business visa
- Nigerien business visa is issued to foreign nationals who intend to travel to the Republic of Niger for business purposes.
- 2 visa application forms must be fully completed. Both application forms must be accurately completed as incomplete application forms may delay the processing of your visa application or lead to outright denial.
- You are required to send 2 recent passport-size photographs with your completed visa application forms.
- Your Rwandan passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date.
- You should submit an invitation letter from a partner company in the Republic of Niger. The letter should state the purpose of your visit and how long you intend to stay in the country.
- To obtain a Nigerien business visa, you must provide an international certificate of vaccination for yellow fever and cholera.
- A business letter from your employer stating your name, your role in the company and the purpose of your travel to the Republic of Niger should be submitted.
- You are also required to provide a copy of your most recent bank account statements as proof that you are financially able to cater to your needs while in Niger.
- Proof of hotel accommodation for the entire duration fo your stay in Niger should also be provided.
- You should note that the visa must be used within 3 months of its issuance.
