Paraguay Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Paraguay tourist visa is for Rwandans intending to visit Paraguay for tourism and leisure.
- With this visa, travelers are allowed to attend seminars, conferences, artistic or sports events. An invitation sent directly from the organizer to the embassy's fax is required in advance.
- The Paraguayan tourist visa has two types:
- Single-entry visa: this visa is valid for 90 days from the date of entry.
- Multiple-entry visa: this visa is valid for 90 days for a maximum of 10 years.
- You must make sure on arrival that your passport is stamped by an immigration official, dated and signed. Anybody without an entry stamp in their passport will be fined when leaving the country.
- It is important that single parents traveling with their children should be aware that immigration officers will ask for documentary evidence of parental responsibility. So you have to bring proof that the child/children you are traveling with are yours.
- Pregnant women should avoid travel to Paraguay because of the risk of Zika.
- After your stay has expired, when leaving Paraguay by air you must pay an airport departure tax.
- Some airlines include this airport departure tax in the cost of the airline ticket, so it is recommended that you check with the airline to determine whether or not the departure tax has been included.
- Vaccinations for the following are required; yellow fever, hepatitis B, measles, rabies, polio, and malaria.
- There are random and regular police checks, so make sure you are with your documentation all the time.
- If you’re under 18 and traveling across borders in the region without one or both parents, it is advisable to have written permission to travel from both parents, duly certified by the Paraguayan embassy.
- Try to keep away from isolated or poorly lit areas at night and avoid walking in downtown Asunción, Ciudad del Este and Pedro Juan Caballero alone during nighttime.

- The company sponsoring the visit.
- Nature of business to be performed.
- Name and address of reference to be visited.
- Places to be visited.
- An original of police Record / Clearance Certificate, duly notarized and legalized by the Ministry of External Affairs must be provided by the applicant.
- Invitation Letter from Paraguay must be provided. The Invitee company has to present the original invitation to the Paraguay Ministry (MRE-Passport office).
- Round- trip tickets, the travel itinerary, and hotel bookings must be provided.
- Valid Registration paper from the Chamber of Commerce and a valid copy of Company Registration must be provided.
