General Requirements for Poland Visa

Poland Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreigners who want to travel to Poland for tourism, family visitations, sight-seeing and leisure are issued the Poland tourist visa.
- This visa is a Schengen visa as Poland is a part of the European Union under the Schengen policy. It is referred to as the Type-C visa which is a short-stay visa.
- This visa type allows holders to enter other Schengen countries without any other kind of visa.
- The visa guarantees a stay of 90 days and it starts to count from the date of entry into Poland. You can split this time into multiple visits but the visa expires after 180 days.
- People requesting for this visa would be given a list of 27 reasons for coming into Poland out of which they are expected to choose one that suits the purpose of their travel.
- Applicants are to have an original passport valid beyond their intended period of stay in Poland.
- Accompanying it should be 2 recently taken passport-sized photos of size 35mm x 45mm and two blank pages for visa stamps.
- It is required that applicants get their biometrics taken at the embassy and this is usually kept for 5 years before renewal.
- There should be a travel document that covers the applicant's period of stay in the country. There should also be provision for emergencies and other kinds of medical attention the applicant might be needing in the country.
- Applicants would be required to submit a planned budget detailing how much they are expected to have per day in the country and if their funds would be sufficient for the duration of stay.
- A bank statement would be needed as proof of the applicant's financial stability.
- A document of the applicant's confirmed accommodation provision would also be needed at the embassy. This could be in the form of a hotel reservation or the house address of a host in Poland.
- For those who want to stay for more than 90 days, there is the Type-D national visa that allows a stay of up to 180 days. This visa is valid for one year.
- In cases where other people want to travel using an applicant's travel document, everyone is expected to have their visa application forms.
Poland Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued as a short stay visa to applicants who have intentions of attending conferences, holding meetings or signing contracts in Poland.
- It is issued as a Type-C Schengen visa and requires a valid passport before it can be issued.
- Applicant's original passport should be valid for at least 3 months after the intended departure date.
- For sponsored applicants, there has to be evidence of the sponsorship from either the host company or the company of employment in the origin or resident country.
- In this case, a letter of permission from the company of employment stating their awareness and approval of the applicant's travel is also required.
- For self-sponsored individuals, you are required to submit a business certificate alongside all other important requirements.
- An Income Tax Revenue document and a bank statement would also be needed in both cases. They should be original and recent.
Poland Short-Stay Study Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The short-stay student visa is called the Student Schengen Visa.
- It is an entry permit to the Schengen Zone, granted to foreigners wishing to enter and remain for short stays in Poland or other Schengen countries under the purpose of studying.
- This visa permits its holder to remain in the Schengen territory for a maximum of 3 months.
- Documents stating the purpose of visit to the country such as the course admission report should be submitted.
- Accommodation provision should also be accounted for in the documents being submitted at the embassy.
- Applicants need to be insured in case of emergencies or accidents.
- Applicants are not allowed to get jobs under a Student Schengen Visa.
- The legal processing time for a Student Schengen visa is 15 calendar days. In some cases, you can receive an answer within even shorter periods. However, in extraordinary cases, this period may also extend from 30 to 60 days.
- Note that you are to apply for a Long-Stay Study Visa at the embassy if your study or training course lasts longer 3 months.
Poland Long-stay Study Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Applicants of this visa get issued a Type-D visa.
- Foreigners are to obtain a visa at a Polish consulate in your home country before arrival in Poland. Once you have arrived in Poland, you will need to apply for a Temporary Stay Card 45 days before the expiry of your visa to prolong your stay.
- Applicants are required to have an official letter of acceptance to a college or university in Poland.
- A Curriculum Vitae should be submitted along with other documents.
- The applicant's school-leaving certificates and diplomas are also required.
- You are expected to have evidence of proficiency in one language spoken in Poland.
- Applicants are required to submit confirmation of having the funds for studying and living in Poland.
- There should also be health insurance that would cover the applicant's duration of stay.
- Applicants should also provide a document showing their confirmed accommodation in Poland.
- Some long-stay Study Visas permit students to work for a limited number of hours per week.
- International students who study in Poland will need to obtain a doctors certificate confirming that they can freely undertake study in the field of their choice. You will also need to be insured for the duration of your stay in Poland.
Poland Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to foreigners who want to transit from Poland to any other country.
- It is referred to as the Type-A visa and has two sub-divisions: Airport Transit Visa and Transit Visa.
- It is also a Schengen visa and it allows you move from one Schengen country to another without any other kind of visa.
- An onward ticket to the destination country is required.
- Applicants issued this visa would be restricted from carrying out activities peculiar to those issued other types of visas.
- They are also expected to leave at the expiration of the visa.
- Transit visas are issued for 24 hours-5 days depending on the sub-type gotten.
