Cuba Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This is the type of visa issued to persons intending to visit Cuba for tourism purposes.
  • You can either go to the nearest Cuban diplomatic mission for a visa, or you can apply online for a Tourist card.
  • However, not all countries are eligible for a tourist card so you need to be sure your country is not among the 20 nationalities that do not have access to the tourist card.
  • A letter of invitation from the relative you are going to visit is required to apply for this visa.
  • Also, the passport details and a means of identification of the relative is required.
  • If you are traveling with a minor, you should submit the birth certificate of the minor during the visa application process.
  • You are not allowed to take up paid work during your time in the country.
  • This visa is valid for 30 days.
  • Payment of the visa fee must be made in cash, by means of a certified bank payment or bank transfer and evidence of payment must be provided.
  • As proof that you intend to leave Cuba once your visa expires, you are required to submit a copy of your return flight ticket to your country of origin.

Cuba Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This is the visa type for those who are in Cuba for business purposes.
  • These people can attend business meetings, meet up with business partners and also sign business contracts.
  • You are not allowed to take up paid work during the duration of your stay in the country.
  • A letter of invitation is required from the company you are having a business dealing with.
  • Certificate of employment from your current employer.
  • A Letter is required from your employer in Sierra Leone confirming your period of leave and stating the purpose of your visit to Cuba.
  • You must also submit a signed business letter from the partner company in Cuba stating the purpose of your travel.
  • You are required to provide proof of sufficient funds for the entire duration of your stay in Cuba. This could be in the form of your most recent bank account statements.
  • If your company will be sponsoring your trip, you should submit a letter signed by an authorized officer in your company stating the purpose of your travel and guarantee that the company will cover your expenses for the entire duration of your stay in Cuba.
  • You are required to provide a copy of your return flight ticket to your country of origin as proof that you intend to leave Cuba once your visa expires.
  • This visa is not meant for tourism purposes.
