Tourist visa
- The tourist visa is for foreigners who intend to visit Egypt for tourism purposes.
- Foreigners can also visit friends and relatives with this visa.
- The Egyptian tourist visa has a validity of 90 days and is processed in 8 working days.
- For applicants going to Egypt to visit their relatives or friends, a letter of invitation from your host should be provided. The letter should include the home address and a valid means of identification of the host.
- All minors traveling out of Sierra Leone with or without their parents should have the original copy of their birth certificate.
- Ensure you have a photocopy of all original documents as the embassy will not return the original copies unless copies are provided.
- You are required to have a certificate of Yellow Fever vaccination.
- Travelers are advised to be immunized against Malaria, Typhoid and Hepatitis A and B.
- Employed applicants are required to present a letter from their employer which states their position in the company, the duration of their employment, as well as the duration of their leave.
- At the expiry of your visa, you are expected to leave the country.
- Receipt of paid visa application fee is required.
- Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation should be submitted.
- A travel itinerary should be submitted.

Business visa
- Applicants of this visa are those visiting Egypt for business purposes.
- This visa allows businessmen and women to visit Egypt to meet up with their partners and carry out all business activities.
- You must provide your actual signed passport, including two copies of the personal information page of your passport with 6 months validity.
- At least one blank visa page is required for visa stamps (amendments and endorsement pages cannot be used to fulfill this requirement).
- Your passport must not be frayed, torn, separated, or altered in any other way.
- You must provide two-colored passport-type photographs that must have been taken within the last three months and printed on high-quality photo paper.
- The photographs must be taken against an all-white background and must be two inches by two (2x2) inches providing the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression. You may wear neither eyeglasses nor headwear except for religious purposes. Your photos must not be affixed to your application and it may not display evidence of adhesive tape or staples.
- You are required to provide a Business Cover Letter from your Egyptian based company. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays an Egyptian address. When printing your Business Cover Letter, provide 2 copies of the business cover letter and proof of travel arrangements.
- Include two copies of an itinerary or e-ticket that displays your round trip travel and entry and exit dates for your destination showing the traveler's full name (as printed in his or her passport).
