Basic Travel Requirements for Sierra Leoneans visiting Ireland

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Irish Visa.


  • A duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • A valid national passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date of return from Ireland and one blank page for visa issuance.
  • Two passport photographs (35mm x 45mm) with the applicant’s name written on them.
  • A copy of the identification document.
  • Photocopy of a valid travel document.
  • Proof of financial support.
  • Valid medical insurance which covers the entire duration of stay.
  • A police report showing that the applicant does not have a criminal record. 
  • Return flight ticket to Sierra Leone.
  • A receipt that shows you have paid the visa application fee.
  • Original copy and 2 photocopies of PPC (Police Clearance Certificate) which should be attached to the applicant’s passport.
