Entry Requirements

  • Libyans travelling to Uganda for a stay of up to 90 days can obtain a visa on arrival.
  • Visas can be obtained at the Entebbe International Airport, Uganda.
  • Citizens are required to provide passports valid for the period of stay in the country.
  • A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required from all individuals visiting Uganda.
  • Children under the age of 5 are required to have a Polio vaccination certificate.
  • There are no restrictions on the exportation of a moderate quantity of perfume, alcoholic drinks, tobacco and tobacco products.
  • Travelers must have  proof of sufficient funds to cover their expenses throughout their stay.
  • Travelers must provide return or onward tickets upon entry into Uganda.
  • They are not required to pay any airport tax upon arrival and departure from the airport.
  • The import and export of local currency (Uganda Shilling-UGX) are prohibited, but there are no restrictions  on the importation and exportation of foreign currencies as long as they are declared upon arrival.
  • Pets must be accompanied by an official certificate of veterinary health issued in Libya not earlier than 6 days prior to arrival in Uganda.
  • Christianity is the predominant religion in Uganda with Christians making up about 85% of it's population, and Muslims making up nearly 14%.
