Algeria Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Algerian tourist visa can be issued to Singaporeans traveling to Algerian for tourism purposes.
- There are two types of Algerian tourist visa:
- Single-entry visa: this visa is valid for 30 days.
- Multiple-entry visa: this visa is valid for 90 days but allows a stay of up to 180 days.
- Applicants are required to provide an invitation letter or proof of accommodation which could be hotel bookings.
- The following documents should also be provided:
- Visa application form.
- Passport valid for at least six months.
- Copy of the identification pages of your passport.
- Two recent ID pictures.
- Travelers must declare at Customs if they are traveling with more than 3000 Algerian dinar or foreign currency that exceeds 1000 euros (or its equivalent).
- Travelers are prohibited from taking Algerian dinars out of the country.
- When your passport is stamped upon entry, you should check how long you are allowed to stay.
- You may be able to request an extension of stay from the Ministry of Interior (Office of Foreigners). However, if you overstay, you may need to appear before a judge prior to departing Algeria.
- Always carry your passport or a copy of it with you, or you may be taken in for questioning by law enforcement officials.
- Photographing military installations and government buildings (often marked by an Algerian flag over the entrance) is prohibited.
- Islam is the main religion practiced in Algeria.
Algeria Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Singaporean business travelers can apply for the Algerian business visa if they have the intention of traveling to the country for business purposes.
- The Algerian business visa is valid for 90 days but can be extended to 180 days.
- Two passport-type photographs must be provided by the applicant.
- Physical passport with 6 months validity beyond trip completion and one blank visa page is required.
- A copy of flight itinerary must be provided by the applicant. This itinerary should contain information detailing the duration of travel, places to visit, etc.
- One copy of confirmed hotel reservations must be provided.
- An invitation letter from the host company in Algeria must be provided.
- The letter must indicate if the company is going to sponsor the applicant's trip.
