- Singaporeans traveling to Equatorial Guinea for tourism purposes are required to apply for a tourist visa.

- Visitors staying more than 90 days should register at a local police station.
- Private ships landing at Equatoguinean ports must get clearance prior to approaching the shore.
- Generally, the police are responsive to reports of crimes by foreigners, but it is common to be asked to pay a substantial sum of money (between $50 to $100) in order to file a police report or obtain a copy of a police report on file.
- Equatorial Guinea is almost exclusively a cash economy. Generally, credit cards and checks are not accepted with the exception of a few Western hotels that cater to international business travelers. Credit card cash advances are not available.
- In the recent past, a special permit from the Ministry of Information and Tourism was required for virtually all types of photography in Equatorial Guinea.
- Although the law has changed, police or security officials may still attempt a fine or detain people taking photographs.
- A certificate of good conduct issued by the local authority of residence is required and will have a validity of 6 months from the date of issuance. The certificate will be in English, French or Spanish.
- An invitation letter duly formalized by the Immigration authorities of Equatorial Guinea containing the applicant’s name and passport number must be provided. The letter will have a validity of 3 weeks after issuance.

- Applicants are required to provide a covering letter from the host company.
- The covering letter provided by the company should be acceptable based on the following conditions:

- The bank statement is a mandatory document and it should meet the following criteria:

- A letter of invitation from the host company in Equatorial Guinea must be provided.
- The letter of invitation from the company submitted should match the following criteria:
- It must contain the signature of the authority along with the designation, name of the company and the stamp.
- It must mention the contact details, the purpose of travel, sponsorship details and other important documents.
